Should my trades website show financing or payment plan options?

For big-ticket work — HVAC replacement, a new roof, a full remodel — yes. Seeing "financing available, as low as $X/month" next to the price takes the sticker shock out of the conversation and makes people far more likely to actually request a quote instead of bouncing.

For smaller-ticket work — a repair call, a fixture swap, routine maintenance — it matters much less. Customers aren't expecting to finance a $200 service call, and pushing financing messaging there can actually make the job look more expensive than it is.

If you do offer financing:

  • Show your financing partner's logo near your pricing or CTA, not buried in the footer
  • Use plain monthly-payment language, not just "financing available"
  • Link directly to the application so there's no extra step to figure out how it works

If you don't offer financing yet but do big-ticket jobs regularly, it's worth looking into a partner program — several exist specifically for home-service trades and take on the credit risk themselves.
